The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for the Rule of Law and European Values (CRoLEV) at the School of Law of the University of Central Lancashire in Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus) is organising the CRoLEV Winter School 2025. The event will take place on campus at UCLan Cyprus.
Call for Participants
The European Union stands at the crossroads of law and politics, navigating the complex interplay of conflict dynamics and institutional responses to shape its future. Understanding the root causes of conflicts within and on its periphery—ranging from historical grievances to socio-economic disparities—remains critical. As a result, this Winter School will focus on ‘The Interplay of Law and Politics in Shaping Future European Union’ and will be ideal for members of the civil society in Cyprus and beyond, policy-makers, stakeholders, legal professionals, PhD students, early career researchers, and advanced students in the fields of law, European studies, sociology, or politics.
The Winter School will employ a melange of formal and non-formal educational methodology, placing the learner at the epicentre of the learning process. It will include a series of interactive workshops and lectures led by experts, providing learners with the opportunity to actively engage in discussion.
The in-person delivery of materials will be followed by relevant video material to be announced at a later stage.
