EU Economic and Financial Governance: Times of Emergency

The School of Law of UCLan Cyprus is pleased to announce, the delivery of a module on EU Economic and Financial Governance, focusing on the Constitutional and Financial perspectives of the Eurozone crisis and times of emergency. This is an exciting and timely module as it investigates the political and legal framework governing economic policy in the EU, the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), fiscal policy as well as the regulation of banking and financial services within the EU and their increasing intermingling. Within this analysis the module also aims to draw particular emphasis on the role of democracy and the rule of law within the structure of EMU.

This module is relevant for any advanced student or professional interested in the current state of the EU and governance of the Economic and Monetary Union.

The module will be delivered in the English language at an intermediate-to-advanced level. It will be taking place in person at UCLan Cyprus campus. Note that some sessions may be recorded and/or published on the CRoLEV website.

 UCLan Cyprus, through its Law School, is an accredited provider of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes under the relevant Cyprus Bar Association scheme. This Course is designed for the continuous professional development (CPD) of young and other professionals in Cyprus and internationally. Subject to CPD certification by the Cyprus Bar Association, CPD points will be available for each day of participation.

With the generous support of CRoLEV at UCLan Cyprus, a limited number of bursaries are available for professionals, civil society representatives and others not registered as UCLan Cyprus students wishing to attend this module. Following a simple assessment of learning for the project’s purposes, certificates of completion will be issued to each attendee at the close of the course.
