EU Constitutional Law and Governance in turbulent times, a new LLM module

The School of Law of UCLan Cyprus is pleased to announce this LLM module on EU Constitutional Law and Governance in turbulent times. This is an exciting and timely module investigating various threats to European values across the EU. As such, it is an incredible opportunity for students from all disciplines. The module not only analyses the constitutional structure of the EU and the ways in which it is designed to safeguard key values such as the rule of law, democracy, and fundamental rights, but also critically looks at the rule of law and democracy backsliding currently taking place in various member states.

The module will take place on the following dates:

15 October  |  10:00-17:00

21 October  |  15:00-21:00

22 October  |  09:00-16:00

Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence

This module takes place within the framework of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence entitled CRoLEV (Centre for the Rule of Law and European Values). ‘European Union Law and Governance in Populist Times’. CRoLEV is funded by the European Union (Jean Monnet key action) and running at the School of Law of UCLan Cyprus (2022-2025). For more information, visit https://crolev.eu/.

This LLM module is relevant for any advanced student or professional interested in the current state of the EU, the worldwide threats to judicial independence, and in the value of democracy and the rule of law in general.

The module will be taking place in person at UCLan Cyprus campus.

This Course is designed for the continuous professional development (CPD) of young and other professionals in Cyprus and internationally. CPD points will be available for each day of participation.
